No Specifics on the New Enterprises Yet

Kaliningrad-based car manufacturer "Avtotor" continues to modernize and expand its production as part of a special investment contract (SPIC). In 2023, they updated existing facilities and launched new factories aimed at deepening car production technologies.

Last year, "Avtotor" modernized the paint shop, increasing its capacity from 40,000 to 75,000 bodies per year. The construction of a logistics complex with an area of 60,000 square meters has been completed. Currently, a robotic welding line is being set up.

In 2024, the company will begin producing electric motors. It is also planned to test factories for the production of electronic control systems, rehabilitation equipment, and electric vehicles.

Representatives of "Avtotor" noted that 12 new factories will be created. Most of them will be commissioned in 2025, and several more enterprises will open in 2026. Details about the factories have not yet been disclosed.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that a new factory for the production of parts for Lada will be built in Togliatti.
