Specialists from KRET (part of Rostec) have developed an innovative autopilot AP-MVL for small aviation. The system is patented and has already passed flight tests on a light multi-purpose aircraft.
Rostec noted that the autopilot is easy to operate and has high fault tolerance. The system includes a digital control panel-computer, as well as actuators in the form of servo drives, connected in parallel to the aircraft control system.
At the same time, the autopilot is interfaced via digital interfaces with information systems such as vertical gyro, air signal and navigation systems, as well as electromechanical trimming mechanisms.
This solution improves flight safety in autopilot mode by maintaining high aircraft stability and controllability.
The characteristics of AP-MVL allow it to be used both on newly designed and modernized small aircraft.
