The existing Russian anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) make the creation of an analogue of the Israeli Iron Dome impractical. This opinion was expressed by military expert Mikhail Khodarenok.
The analyst clarified that the Iron Dome is a specific system created by Israel for a specific situation. Therefore, it makes no sense for Russia to repeat such an approach, since it already has the necessary means for anti-aircraft cover of facilities.
As an example, Khodarenok cited the S-400 Triumph, S-350, Tor and Buk-M3 SAM systems, which provide cover for facilities on all frontiers.
Having all these means, the corresponding radar reconnaissance systems and automated control systems, creating some version of the Iron Dome, in my opinion, makes no sense.
Russia presented a model of the S-400 Triumph SAM system in the air defense segment at the Aero India exhibition. In addition, India showed models of the Tor-M2KM short-range SAM system in stationary and mobile versions, the Tor-M2K on wheels and the Tor-E2 on a tracked chassis.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a method of combating drones with fiber optic control has been invented in Russia.
