Footage with information about the new "Geran-3" jet-powered kamikaze drone has appeared. The strike aircraft is equipped with a turbojet engine, the launch weight is more than 200 kg, the warhead is 50 kg, which is equivalent to the destructive power of a cruise missile.
The "Geran-3" has a wingspan of 2.5 meters, a length of 3.5 m and a cruising speed of 600 km/h. The new UAV can carry almost five times more explosives than its predecessor, the "Geran-2."
The device is also stealthy on radars and uses satellite navigation to orient itself in space and follow the route.
There is also an optoelectronic module. It is activated at the final stage for more accurate targeting.
The new "Geraniums" work in conjunction with other types of drones. Up to 200 drones can be involved in one attack. UAV strikes destroy military factories, energy facilities, warehouses and other strategic targets.
