The Su-57 fifth-generation multirole fighter became the centerpiece of the Aero India international air show. The head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) of Russia, Mikhail Babich, spoke about the outstanding characteristics of this newest combat aircraft.
There is an American aircraft that is also represented here, and our Chinese partners are here with their aircraft. But from the point of view of all key characteristics — visibility, [situational] awareness, target tracking, capabilities of standard weapons — the Su-57, of course, is far ahead of its competitors.
The Su-57 is a unique aircraft, equipped with a supersonic low-observable adjustable air intake. This technical solution allows the fighter to demonstrate the world's best indicators of supersonic range, flight duration and maneuverability.
The Su-57's onboard equipment complex allows data to be integrated in real time using an AI-based pilot information support system. This system makes it possible to make decisions in fractions of a second.
