The Smolensk Aviation Plant will establish the production of wing caissons (the wing's power element) for the Ladoga light aircraft. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Smolensk Region.
The test samples of the caissons are in the assembly stage. The flight sample of the wing's power element will be ready in April. Serial production of the part will be launched in the spring of 2025.
Smolensk will also manufacture a complete set of wings for the Ladoga. The first few sets will be produced this year.
<b>About the Ladoga aircraft</b>
The TVRS-44 Ladoga (turboprop regional aircraft for 44 passengers) is being developed by the Ural Civil Aviation Plant (UZGA) for local airlines. It will replace the An-24, An-26, ATR-42, DHC-300, CRJ-100.
The production chain for the project includes enterprises in Smolensk, Samara, Taganrog, Komsomolsk-on-Amur, and Nizhny Novgorod. Deliveries of the Ladoga to carriers will begin in 2028.
