Scammers have invented a new way to deceive people for Valentine's Day. They send the victim a bouquet supposedly from a secret admirer and gain access to their personal data. The scheme is simple: the attackers ask for a code from an SMS to confirm delivery, but in reality, they gain access to the person's personal information. Thieves steal money from the victim's accounts and take out loans.
Using this SMS code, scammers gain access to the victim's personal data, which allows them to take out a loan in their name.
Scammers also create fake websites for flower and gift delivery. They lure customers with "discounts" and "exclusive bouquets", and disappear after payment.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that before February 14, scammers often deceive lonely men. They create fake profiles of girls in dating apps, using photos taken with the help of neural networks.
