In 2024, South Korea imported helicopters worth $4.1 million from Russia

Last year, South Korea purchased a batch of helicopters from Russia for $4.1 million for the first time since 2014. This is evidenced by data from the statistical service of the Asian republic.

Moscow supplied Seoul with several aircraft weighing over 2 tons, as well as various aircraft, helicopter or drone parts worth $2.9 million, propellers worth $2.04 million, and chassis and their parts worth $261,000.

At the end of 2024, South Korea's costs for purchasing aircraft parts from Russia fell by 69.2%, thus reaching a minimum since 2022.
