Foreign ships and aircraft escorted the Pacific Fleet (TOF) detachment during the passage through the East China Sea. This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.
A detachment of Pacific Fleet (TOF) ships consisting of corvettes of project 20380 "Rezkiy" and "Aldar Tsydenzhapov", as well as the sea tanker "Pechenga" on February 3,set off on a long voyage to carry out tasks in the Asia-Pacific region (APR).
During the passage through the East China Sea, a detachment of Russian ships was escorted by ships and aircraft of foreign states.
The ships of the detachment also conducted air defense exercises in the East China Sea. Combat crews detected mock air targets and eliminated them with anti-aircraft artillery fire.
The armament of the project 20380 corvettes includes anti-ship missiles "Caliber-NK" or "Uran" (depending on the modification of the ship), an anti-aircraft missile system, artillery installations, machine gun installations and grenade launchers. They have anti-torpedo and anti-submarine protection.
