The first Tu-214 aircraft will be delivered to Russian carriers in 2025 in the volumes stipulated by the comprehensive program for the development of the Russian aviation industry. This was announced by Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov at the national exhibition of civil aviation infrastructure NAIS.
This year, the first Tu-214s will be delivered as part of the plans approved in the comprehensive program.
The Tu-214 aircraft made its first flight with new Russian components in November 2024, lasting 1 hour and 10 minutes.
The Tu-214 aircraft (RA-64518) was manufactured at the Kazan Aviation Plant in 2009. In 2022, Ilyushin Finance Co organized work to restore its airworthiness, and the aircraft received a new certificate in December.
Its maximum range is more than 7 thousand km, and at full load it is capable of carrying passengers over a distance of up to 5.2 thousand km. The Tu-214 has a modern cabin for 194 passengers, equipment for rescue and navigation, and meets all current global requirements.
