Commissioning works have begun at the pumping station of power unit No. 1 of the Akkuyu NPP, which is being built in Turkey. This was reported by the press service of the Rosatom State Corporation.
Specialists tested the main cooling water pumping units under load and are checking the operating parameters of the equipment.
Pumps that will ensure the operation of backup diesel power plants are undergoing a series of individual tests.
The pumping station equipment supplies water to all cooling systems of the power unit. Stable operation of the units is important for the safe operation of the reactor plant and turbine unit.
