In the near future, police officers of the federal territory "Sirius" will begin patrolling on electric scooters. This was reported in the press service of MTS "Urent".
Electric scooters will be used to ensure public order. Compact and maneuverable personal mobility devices (PMD) will allow police officers to move faster through the streets. This is relevant in heavy traffic conditions and narrow alleys where the use of cars is difficult.
Police officers will undergo additional testing on knowledge of traffic rules on PMDs and receive safe driving training from instructors.
The federal territory "Sirius" became the first place for the implementation of this project. The results of cooperation with the police will be summed up by the end of February. If successful, the practice will be scaled to other cities.
Earlier www1.ru reported that a Russian company bought the Belarusian developer of electric scooters Eleven.
