The State Duma is considering a bill according to which cars cannot be evacuated due to the lack of registration documents from the driver. The exception will be cases when the vehicle is listed as stolen.
Currently, the absence of documents from the driver is grounds for evacuating the car or blocking its movement. A typical situation is documents forgotten at home or at work.
In most cases, the problem can be quickly resolved when relatives or acquaintances deliver the necessary documents to the scene. However, not all drivers can quickly eliminate the reason for the detention, which leads to inconvenience and additional expenses.
The bill aims to mitigate the current rules and reduce excessive administrative burden.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the State Duma proposed to warn drivers in advance about the evacuation of vehicles.
