ONPP "Tekhnologiya" named after A. G. Romashin (part of the Rostec State Corporation) will supply more than 650 high-strength glasses for subway train driver cabins by 2026.
The glasses will be installed on 60 new trains in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, and Nizhny Novgorod.
The windshield, produced using thermally strengthened triplex technology, can withstand the impact of a 1 kg object at speeds up to 180 km/h. Each lead car of such trains will have six glasses installed.
For the "Moscow-2024" series trains, additional electric heating of the glazing is provided, which allows the trains to be used safely at any time of the year.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that Rostec had begun producing new glasses for the driver's cabin in the "Moscow - 2024" subway trains and "Baltiets" cars in the St. Petersburg subway.
