Engineering units of the Russian army have begun to receive promising universal armored engineering vehicles (UBIM), developed on the basis of the main battle tanks T-90M "Proryv-3" from Uralvagonzavod.
UBIMs are designed to ensure the advancement of troops and the performance of engineering work under enemy fire. In terms of its capabilities, the system can replace a number of equipment, including obstacle clearing vehicles, tracklayers, evacuation and demining vehicles.
UBIM is equipped with a bulldozer blade, a crane boom with a maximum lifting capacity of 7,500 kg, an excavator bucket or a hydraulic hammer.
UBIM characteristics:
- Weight - 54100 kg
- Engine power - 1130 hp
- Maximum speed - 60 km/h
- Fuel range - 500 km
- Crew - 2 people
