Izhevsk Pilot Mechanical Plant Launches Production of Components for Oil Pumps

Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation: Investments in production amounted to almost 180 million rubles

Izhevsk Pilot Mechanical Plant (IOMZ) has started producing shafts and rods from corrosion-resistant alloys for electric submersible pump (ESP) units. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.

The production volume using the new technology will be 740 units per year, and the total capacity of the plant for this product range will increase by 15%, which will allow it to occupy up to 47% of the Russian market.

High-strength components withstand high loads and operate in aggressive environments with temperatures above +80°C. The use of new shafts and rods will increase pump performance by 25%.

IOMZ invested about 180 million rubles in production, of which 68 million rubles were provided by the Industrial Development Fund (IDF), and 29 million rubles by the Udmurt Fund for Entrepreneurship Development.
