In 2024, 35 legal entities were excluded from the registry of producers of beer, cider, perry, and mead in Russia.
Since the launch of the registry in September 2023, all brewers were automatically included, and now a compliance check is being conducted.
The reasons for excluding companies from the registry include non-compliance of addresses, lack of necessary equipment documents, and leased premises. Rosalkotabakkontrol filed 120 lawsuits to exclude enterprises, but only 81 applications were considered.
Exclusion from the registry means a ban on the production and sale of beverages, which effectively suspends the company's operations until the violations are corrected, leading to significant losses and, in some cases, bankruptcy.
According to the first eight months of 2024, the production of low-alcohol beverages in Russia decreased by 32.1% to 8.95 million decaliters. At the same time, the total production of alcoholic beverages (excluding beer and low-alcohol beverages) increased by 8.5%.
