Yandex and Google remained in first place in terms of attendance. Yandex's monthly reach remained almost unchanged at 100.3 million people in December 2024, which corresponds to 82.4% of the Russian audience. The average daily reach increased from 56.7% in January to 57% in December.
Google showed a slight decrease in monthly reach — from 81.7% in January to 81.5% in December, but the average daily figure increased from 52.3% to 53%.
WhatsApp, previously in fourth place, became one of the leaders, surpassing YouTube. WhatsApp's monthly reach increased from 95.3 million users in January to 96 million in December 2024, and the average daily audience increased to 82.6 million people.
The social network VKontakte was in fourth place in terms of attendance, which in December 2024 overtook YouTube for the first time in terms of monthly reach. At the same time, the monthly reach of the Zen platform decreased by 5.8% from January to December, and the average daily reach decreased by 13.5%, amounting to 27.8 million people.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that WhatsApp in Russia was obliged to transfer user correspondence to the FSB.
