Средство против вирусов на основе экстракта грибов создали в Новосибирской области

The antiviral agent includes tinder fungi, chaga, and oyster mushrooms

A new antiviral agent has been developed at the "Vector" center. It contains extracts from crushed tinder fungus, oyster mushroom, and chaga.

The basis of the development is basidial fungi (Basidiomycetes). This class includes about 30 thousand species, but their antiviral properties remain insufficiently studied.

To obtain the extracts, scientists crushed parts of the mushrooms and mixed them with heated water (90-100°C). Then, the liquid part was separated from the sediment using a centrifuge and filtration. Water and ethyl alcohol were added to the resulting mixture.

To test the new drug, scientists prepared several samples with different proportions of oyster mushroom and chaga extracts. The results showed antiviral activity against HIV, coronavirus infection, and influenza A viruses.

Earlier, www1.ru reported that in Russia they created a drug for the treatment of depression associated with obesity.
