The Minsk Motovelo Plant (MMVZ) in Belarus has released an updated model of the legendary Minsk motorcycle series - Minsk D4 125. The first unit was presented to the country's president, Alexander Lukashenko.
The Motovelo Plant team thanked the Belarusian leader for the timely decisions made to preserve and revive the enterprise.
Lukashenko jokingly replied that although all gifts should be given to the state, he would keep the motorcycle for himself.
I won't give away the motorcycle. At least not until spring. It's a native "child." I am very grateful to you, thank you.
A special feature of the Minsk D4 125 motorcycle is the increased proportion of Belarusian-made parts. The minimalist design echoes previous generations of Minsk motorcycles, but also has modern stylistic solutions. The manufacturer characterizes it as a reliable, durable, and economical vehicle to maintain.
In addition, the enterprise itself is experiencing a revival, with a large technology park being built on the unclaimed areas of MMVZ in the center of the Belarusian capital. The project is being implemented in 28 stages, and construction and installation work is currently underway on 12 stages.
