AvtoVAZ will present a new car brand in 2026. This was announced by the company's president, Maxim Sokolov, during the final press conference on Wednesday.
The new brand will sell new commercial models and compact vans created in collaboration with domestic engineering centers and foreign partners.
Sokolov cited Chinese automotive companies as an example, which often single out successful models into separate brands.
AvtoVAZ plans to further develop the commercial line of cars based on the Granta and Niva models, produced at the subsidiary VIS-Avto, as well as increase the production of such cars.
Sokolov believes that a line of the new brand can also be developed on the basis of the same enterprise.
Earlier www1.ru reported that the price of the new Lada Niva Sport has been revealed, which will go on sale in 2025.
