Automaker AvtoVAZ will begin production of a new version of the Lada Vesta in a few days, which will receive a new six-speed gearbox. The popular model of the auto giant is currently equipped with a "five-speed" of its own production, in addition to a variator.
The head of the auto giant for marketing and sales, Dmitry Kostromin, clarified that the production of cars with the new transmission will begin next week (January 20-26). The supplier of the box has not yet been disclosed.
Presumably, the new gearbox is provided by a Chinese company. It will be available with all available engines, including naturally aspirated 1.6 (106 hp) and 1.8 (122 hp) liters.
