One of the main reasons for the indexation of prices for Lada cars is the growing sanction pressure on AvtoVAZ. This was stated by the president of the auto giant, Maxim Sokolov, during the final press conference on Wednesday.
According to him, a year and a half since September 2023, when sanctions were imposed against AvtoVAZ, they have only intensified.
Secondary restrictions have been added, which have complicated logistics chains and sending payments. This significantly affected the increase in the cost of our products.
Sokolov clarified that the current level of localization of Lada cars exceeds
AvtoVAZ has such technological sovereignty that even if "someone presses the button", production will still continue at fairly high speeds.
