A presentation of new airfield equipment took place at Tambov Airport. As part of the modernization program, an anti-icing machine, a passenger stairway, an airfield loader and tractor, as well as a powerful snowplow, were purchased. About 130 million rubles were allocated from the regional budget for these expenses.
Among the vehicles at the airport, a modern de-icer appeared — a machine designed to remove ice, equipped with a lifting cabin. It allows processing aircraft in difficult weather conditions, ensuring flight safety. The de-icer is based on KamAZ.
This machine will allow us to serve aircraft of a higher class than we have now.
The modernization of the airport is aimed at preparing for the reception of more spacious aircraft, such as the SSJ-100, and increasing the transport accessibility of the region.
