Russia has developed the first Powershift automatic transmission for heavy tractors with a capacity of 440-620 hp. The new product has been sent for bench tests, the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
The gearbox received a multi-disc clutch and 20 gears with a speed range of up to 40 km/h, including nine working gears in the range from 7 to 20 km/h.
Also, a built-in parking brake with hydraulic control is provided for the 3000 series tractor, which expands the functionality of the tractor as a whole.
Field tests as part of the 3000 series tractors - "Rostselmash 3002 4WD" - are scheduled for 2025.
