Specialists from Sechenov and Cape Town Universities have signed an agreement on cooperation in the field of biomedical science and education. It will allow the development of advanced regenerative technologies.
The project is aimed at developing bioprinting and biophotonics technologies. Specialists from Sechenov University will be engaged in fundamental research, while their South African colleagues will develop engineering solutions for clinical application.
We consider South Africa as a valuable partner and are confident in the prospects of our cooperation. The first joint studies will be devoted to the use of photobiomodulation in dentistry and the treatment of chronic wounds.
During the trip to South Africa, Russian scientists held an event with colleagues from the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, as well as from the Universities of Cape Town and Johannesburg, dedicated to photobiomodulation. A program of further actions was developed.
