The letter, signed by Alexey Vovk, Director of Information Security at Kaspersky Lab JSC, indicates that the issue that arose after updating Telegram to version 11.5.2 affects various iPhone models on iOS 18, but overheating is not observed in all cases.
It is impossible to say with certainty that there is a direct dependence on any factors, such as geolocation or language in the phone settings.
According to him, due to the closed architecture of iOS, it is impossible to determine exactly whether the overheating is only related to the Telegram update or to iOS itself, which works in a specific way with version 11.5.2.
