Russian scientists were the first in the world to prove the safety of transporting blood plasma by drones. The tests, which were conducted by Innopolis and the Pacific State Medical University, involved the InnoVtol-3s vertical take-off and landing UAV, the university's press service reported.
First, the tests were conducted in Sakhalin, then in Innopolis. The drone transported blood plasma taken from 30 volunteers. Each sample was checked three times: after collection, during storage in ideal conditions, and after the flight was completed.
The design of InnoVtol-3s minimizes stress and vibration. The UAV can transport blood plasma over a distance of up to 250 km. This does not affect the quality of the biomaterial - the deviation from the standard was no more than 4%.
