The largest Russian marketplace, Wildberries, has launched Full Track Load (FTL) services in test mode. This is a fast cargo delivery of large consignments of goods, provided that the customer fully reserves the entire truck.
According to the press service of Wildberries&Russ, the service will be available to both marketplace sellers and any other clients in Russia. However, the route to the delivery point must be on roads with a hard surface.
For the new service, the company provides more than 1,700 trucks and semi-trailers, and this fleet will be replenished monthly with new equipment. In addition, Wildberries will be able to involve its own logistics partners in transportation, provided that they comply with high standards of FTL transportation.
Earlier it became known that Wildberries&Russ is starting to produce its own isothermal semi-trailers. This project will help the company reduce costs, improve logistics and strengthen control over the quality of goods delivery.
