In the last quarter, no cases of hacking into seller accounts were recorded on the Wildberries platform. In addition, the number of fraudulent registrations has decreased threefold.
The company noted that such indicators were achieved through the introduction of an innovative system of multi-faceted checks based on artificial intelligence technologies.
This technology allows detecting intruders even before they register on the platform or block attempts to log into a personal account. If the system notices suspicious activity, access to the account and the platform itself is restricted. In rare cases, when the login did occur, anti-fraud systems block all actions that the fraudster managed to commit and prevent further attempts.
The systems used to detect suspicious activity are based on artificial intelligence models that use digital fingerprint technology.
Previously, sellers of large marketplaces, such as Ozon and Wildberries, appealed with a complaint to the Federal Antimonopoly Service. They are unhappy that their products are automatically included in sales without their consent. Since the spring of 2023, marketplaces have begun to conduct such automatic promotions. Initially, this was a voluntary function, but since autumn, products have begun to be included in sales by default.
