В Новосибирске создали утилиты для кибербезопасности отечественной ОС Astra Linux

The development will automate the collection of digital confirmations of attacks

Utilities for the domestic operating system Astra Linux have been developed for the first time at Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU). This was reported by the press service of the university.

In recent years, hackers have increasingly used not only software traps, but also social engineering methods to deceive users. Digital traces of such attacks can be detected using specialized programs. However, most of them are only available for Windows systems. Previously, there were no such utilities for the domestic OS Linux.

We are registering the first instance of a utility for collecting digital evidence from Astra Linux operating systems, and at the same time we are formalizing an approach to investigating computer attacks and incidents on domestic solutions using international best practices.
Ivana Nikroshkina, Head of the Youth Laboratory of NSTU

According to the developers, in the process of primary collection of digital evidence, it is planned to extract the maximum amount of information from the affected system. They also noted that tasks to protect information systems and expand the set of utilities will be solved as new technical challenges arise.

Earlier www1.ru reported that the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia started using domestic tablets with Astra Linux OS.
