Multi-purpose, super-maneuverable Su-35S fighters provided air cover for the crews of the Russian Aerospace Forces on the front lines. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
During the execution of combat missions, the crews of the Su-35S fighters practiced air cover for assault and bomber aircraft, as well as army aviation helicopters, while delivering air strikes on enemy armored vehicles. Also, with the help of an aviation weapons complex, the Su-35S crews exposed the location of enemy air defense facilities.
Su-35S is a supersonic fighter of the "4++" generation. Further development of the "single-seat" line of Su-27 aircraft.
At 12 suspension points, the Su-35S can carry guided missiles of the "air-to-surface", "air-to-air" class, aerial bombs of various calibers and unguided missiles. Maximum combat load — 8 tons. Equipped with a GSh-30-1 cannon with a caliber of 30 mm (ammunition load — 150 rounds).
