Rostec has completed the contract for the supply of modern low-floor two-section trams model 71-421R "Dovlatov" for St. Petersburg. This was reported by the press service of the state corporation.
The design of the new tram repeats the appearance of the Leningrad car of the 60s of the last century LM-57, nicknamed "Stylish".
The composition was developed for one of the oldest tram parks in St. Petersburg, taking into account the steep turns of the historical track facilities. For this purpose, a special bogie was created, thanks to which the cars are able to pass curved sections with a radius of only 14 meters.
Dovlatov trams are equipped with a modern interior. One of the key functions is wakefulness control, which monitors the driver's condition, ensuring safety on the route.
In addition, the car is equipped with a transparent interactive window-screen "White Nights". It allows passengers to enjoy cityscapes and provides various information about the route and attractions.
Earlier www1.ru reported that Chelyabinsk is introducing "smart" trams.
