The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Komi Republic informs residents of six municipalities about the upcoming launch of the Soyuz-2 launch vehicle. The launch of the Soyuz-2 launch vehicle with the Resource-P No. 5 spacecraft from the Baikonur Cosmodrome is scheduled for December 25 at 10:45 Moscow time, with a reserve date for December 26 at the same time. Six municipal entities of the Komi Republic fall into the zone of possible accident: Troitsko-Pechorsky and Izhemsky districts, as well as the cities of Sosnogorsk, Vuktyl, Pechora and Usinsk.
Rescuers urge local residents to be vigilant and avoid going to forests and water bodies during this period.
According to Roscosmos, the upcoming launch of the launch vehicle with the Resource-P No. 5 remote sensing satellite will be the two thousandth for the R-7 family of rockets, which will be marked with a special image on the third stage of the Soyuz-2.1b.
