Уникальный седан «Москвич-2142» с французским двигателем выставили на продажу

The 1999 model has undergone a complete restoration and participates in exhibitions

A rare example of the Moskvich-2142 sedan with a Renault engine has appeared for sale in Russia.

This car was produced in 1999 and features a unique configuration, as the Moscow plant usually produced extended versions such as the "Knyaz Vladimir" and "Ivan Kalita", while standard four-door models were assembled in small batches. A feature of this car is the French Renault F3R engine, as well as a full package with power accessories.

The sedan underwent restoration, during which the car was completely disassembled. The body panels were replaced with original ones, the seams were cleaned and repainted, and the rotten sills and rear arches were replaced. The restored car participates in exhibitions, such as the Tula "Autostrada" and gatherings of car owners in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

The car is equipped with air conditioning, power steering and power windows. Under the hood is a 2.0-liter 8-valve gasoline engine with a capacity of 112 horsepower, working in tandem with a 5-speed manual gearbox, transmitting traction to the front axle. This Moskvich had 6 owners, with one of them using the car for almost 19 years.

The owner valued this rare specimen at 2 million rubles. The exact production run of the Moskvich-2142 model is unknown, but the identification number of the exhibited car ends in "0545", which may indicate its rarity.
