50 "Hazel" targets will appear on the radar: frightening details of the latest Russian hypersonic weapon

Bundeswehr Lieutenant Colonel Rose: Patriot SAM systems are unlikely to intercept "Hazel"

The US and NATO also have a new generation of Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems, but they are unlikely to be able to effectively resist the "cloud of targets" of the Russian Oreshnik medium-range hypersonic complex. This was stated by retired Lieutenant Colonel of the Bundeswehr anti-aircraft units Jurgen Rose.

According to him, even if one missile is launched with multiple warheads, then five or six individually guided warheads fly to the target later. At the same time, there may be false targets in the escort, so air defense will have to detect and hit not one, but a whole cloud of targets.

On the radar screen, you will see not one missile, but 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 objects approaching simultaneously. NATO has zero capabilities to defend against this and will be able to shoot down a maximum of three or four targets, if a Patriot PAC-3 battery ready for use is somewhere.
