В Москве запустили первую пилотную зону 5G на отечественном оборудовании

New demo center at VDNH offers ultra-high-speed internet

The first pilot zone for testing a 5G network using exclusively Russian telecommunications equipment has been launched in Moscow.

The 5G demo center is located in the "Smart City" pavilion at VDNH. Base stations from the company "Irteya" (owned by MTS) are used to deploy the network, which allows for high data transfer rates (up to 1.3 Gbps) and low latency.

This is the first technological telecom site in Russia that operates entirely on domestic equipment. It provides unique opportunities for developers to test their solutions in real-world conditions. 5G equipment manufacturers can also receive feedback, which helps improve their products.

In addition to ultra-high-speed internet, the 5G laboratory features video cameras and modems that support 5G, as well as cloud solutions. The entire infrastructure is available for testing and developing new technologies.

Earlier, the head of the Ministry of Digital Development, Maksut Shadaev, stated that 5G networks would be launched in 16 Russian cities within five years.
