The fifth serial nuclear-powered missile cruiser of Project 955A "Borei-A", "Dmitry Donskoy", which is being built at the Sevmash enterprise of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, is being prepared for removal from the slipway and launching.
The head of the Sevmash enterprise, Mikhail Budnichenko, said on the company's 85th anniversary that the ship is being built in full compliance with the schedule agreed with the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The slipway period of the fifth serial ship of the Borei-A project will be completed after we complete the ship in the workshop, conduct hydraulic tests and prepare the nuclear submarine for removal.
The atomic cruiser of the modernized Project 955A "Borei-A" "Dmitry Donskoy" was laid down at Sevmash in August 2021.
The Borei/Borei-A series nuclear submarines carry 16 intercontinental ballistic missiles "Bulava" with multiple independently targetable warheads developed by the Moscow Institute of Thermal Technology.
