Telecom operators will provide data on network addresses, RKN clarified. The published draft order implies the collection of network addresses used by operators in different regions of Russia.
It is argued that this is necessary to update filtering rules and combat computer attacks, including DDoS attacks. Information about personal devices is not required to counter threats.
Earlier it became known that Roskomnadzor plans to oblige operators to transmit data on communication facilities and user equipment on the Internet. The draft order is published on the portal of normative legal acts.
A number of experts suggested that in the future it may be possible to introduce liability for visiting prohibited sites. Note that the draft order does not directly mention this.
