Record Set 6 Years Ahead of Schedule

Moscow's carsharing fleet has reached a record high of 40,000 vehicles, making it the largest in the world.

This result was achieved significantly ahead of schedule. According to the city's Transport Complex Development Strategy, the fleet was expected to reach 40,000 vehicles by 2030. However, thanks to the coordinated efforts of the government, the traffic police, and operating companies, this goal was achieved in 2024.

In 2015, when carsharing was launched in Moscow, the fleet consisted of only 350 vehicles, and the number of users was 30,000. Over 9 years, the number of active users has increased 123 times, reaching 1.7 million in 2024.

We will continue to support the development of carsharing, as well as the transition to environmentally friendly electric vehicles.
Maksim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport and Industry

The carsharing service continues to improve in terms of safety and reliability. From January to November 2024, the number of accidents involving carsharing vehicles decreased by 17%. The average age of cars in Moscow's carsharing fleet is 1.5 years, which also contributes to increased road safety.
