Since December 17, 2024, Yandex Drive carsharing has started operating in Saratov, becoming the sixth city of the service's presence. At the start, users have access to about 100 new Jetta VAЗ cars, and the coverage area includes Saratov, Engels, Balakovo, Kalininsk, Krasnoarmeysk and other major cities in the region.
The service offers three tariffs: "Minutes" for trips with stops, "Fix" for routes with a predetermined destination, and "Hours and Days" for long-term rentals. Users over 21 years of age with a driving experience of at least 2 years can rent a car.
All cars are equipped with telematics and sensors that track driving style, including hard braking, maneuvers and speeding. This data is used to generate a personal driver rating. Currently, Yandex Drive operates in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sochi, Kazan, Yekaterinburg and Saratov, offering more than 18,000 cars for rent.
Samara, a city with a population of about 1.2 million people, was not included in the list of cities where the service is present. For comparison, Saratov has a population of less than 850 thousand people.
