Russian T-90M main battle tanks in combat units have been equipped with upgraded "Nakidka" camouflage systems, combined with "Ternovnik" radio-absorbing material.
The former provides a significant reduction in the infrared signature in the short (1-3 μm), medium (3-5 μm), and long-wave (8-12 μm) ranges of infrared waves.
"Nakidka" reduces the detection range of thermal imaging modules mounted on Shark, Furia, and German Scorpion reconnaissance UAVs.
Segments of the Ternovnik RPM reduce the effective reflecting surface of the vehicles, reducing the detection range by enemy position reconnaissance radars, or AN/APY-7 side-looking AESA radars of E-8C JSTARS strategic radar reconnaissance aircraft, as well as AN/ZPY-2 side-looking AESA radars of RQ-4B Global Hawk strategic reconnaissance aircraft.
Earlier, www1.ru reported that The Russian Aerospace Forces called for equipping the 48Ya6-K1 Podlet-K1 radar to detect heavy A-22 UAVs and SCALP-EG missiles.
