Sitronics Space is no longer part of Sitronics Group. It is now called Sputnix Group and is under the direct management of Joint Stock Financial Corporation Sistema.
Under the leadership of Sitronics Group, the space company has gone from a startup to a large holding, becoming one of the leaders in the field of private cosmonautics in Russia. Today, it has "unprecedented opportunities" for development.
Currently, Sputnix Group has 56 spacecraft at its disposal. Of these, 52 are satellites of the SITRO-AIS vessel monitoring system, and another 4 are Earth remote sensing satellites "Zorkiy-2M". In 2025, it is planned to launch at least 20 more satellites.
Previously, the Russian company Sitronics Space planned to use artificial intelligence in space, in particular on some Russian satellites. The neural network's assistance consisted of sorting images taken by satellites. Photos with cloud cover or defects will be deleted, which will reduce the amount of data available to the user.
