The Russian government has approved negotiations between Roscosmos and NASA on the third amendment to the agreement on cross-flights to the International Space Station (ISS). The corresponding document appeared on the official legal acts portal.
To accept the proposal of the State Corporation for Space Activities "Roscosmos", agreed with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and other interested federal executive bodies, to conduct negotiations on the signing of the third amendment to the agreement on the implementation of the agreement between the State Corporation for Space Activities "Roscosmos" (Russian Federation) and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration of the United States of America regarding flights of integrated crews on Russian and American manned transport spacecraft.
On September 11, Roscosmos General Director Yuri Borisov told reporters that Russia and the United States would continue to work on the cross-flight program to the ISS even after the spring of 2025. NASA's manned program manager Ken Bowersox also previously reported that the Russian and American agencies are working on another extension of the program.
Earlier www1.ru reported that cosmonauts are increasingly forced to repair the ISS instead of doing science.
