The Tor-M2U anti-aircraft missile system successfully shoots down HIMARS MLRS rockets and Olha missiles using artificial intelligence technologies integrated into the new fire control system.
The FCS, using AI algorithms, provides recognition, classification, and prioritization of targets, as well as the subsequent engagement of up to four threats simultaneously.
The Tor-M2U SAM system is an all-weather tactical complex that provides a 360-degree "scan" of the sky. It allows for the detection of up to 40 enemy targets and the identification of the most dangerous targets for fire engagement.
Technical characteristics of the Tor-M2U:
- Maximum range of engagement — 12 km
- Number of simultaneously processed targets — 48
- Number of simultaneously tracked target trajectories — 10
- Number of simultaneously engaged targets — 4
- Number of simultaneously guided missiles — 8
- Maximum target speed — 700 m/s
- Fuel range — 500 km
- Maximum combat vehicle weight — 30 t
- Combat vehicle crew — 3
