The Uralvagonzavod (UVZ) concern has delivered a batch of 20 wagons of model 23-5994 to the customer, the company's press service reported.
Wagons 23-5994 are designed for transporting pig iron and other metallurgical cargo with temperatures up to +400 °C. This allows loading hot pig iron ingots into the wagons without having to wait for them to cool down, which significantly speeds up the transportation and further processing in production workshops.
According to UKBV, the new wagons have an increased load capacity compared to similar models. The photos show that the design of the 23-5994 wagons uses bogies with an axle load of 25 tf. This also helps to improve their performance characteristics.
