Rostec received 25.5% of Astrakhan Port shares from the President of Russia

The Russian government was instructed to transfer the shares to the state corporation within ten months

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the transfer of 6,288 shares of Astrakhan Port PJSC to the Rostec State Corporation, which amounts to 25.5% of the total number of shares of this PJSC. The securities were sent as a property contribution of Russia, and the government was instructed to transfer them to Rostec within ten months. The decree has already been published on the portal of legal acts.

The state corporation shared its plans for the new assets after publication.

Rostec is a huge industrial company that produces a large range of goods and is also involved in logistics. Our plans for the Astrakhan Port are related to the development of the North-South international transport corridor.

Astrakhan Port is one of the largest enterprises in the port complex of the Astrakhan region, capable of handling all types of cargo. It has 14 terminals with a total handling capacity of about 12 million tons per year. The port complex also includes passenger berths.

As of June 30, 2024, 53.06% of Astrakhan Port's shares belonged to the Iranian company "Nasim Bahr Kish", and Rosimushchestvo held another 25.5% of the shares.
