Within the range of the Hazel hypersonic advanced medium-range missile systems being deployed in Belarus, with 10-13-Mach ballistic missiles, will be not only all critical NATO facilities and military-industrial complexes of Western European states. This was pointed out by military expert Yevgeny Damantsev.
According to him, "Hazel" will be able to reach the AN/FPS-132 missile attack warning system radar station near Thule AB in Greenland, part of the 12th Space Warning Squadron.
If the mass of the warhead is reduced by placing fewer warheads, the range of the Hazel missiles can reach 7,000 - 8,000 km, covering New York and Washington.
The analyst added that in order to minimize the risk of intercepting Hazel missiles by SM-3 Block IIA anti-missiles on the ascending branches of trajectories over the Baltic States, the former must be disabled in advance by strikes from Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles or Kh-69 cruise missiles.
