The Russian Navy will receive the newest multipurpose nuclear submarine "Arkhangelsk" of Project 885M (code "Yasen-M") in the summer of 2025. It was built at "Sevmash" of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC).
The head of the All-Russian Movement to Support the Fleet, Vladimir Maltsev, noted that "Arkhangelsk" is currently undergoing state tests. In June 2024, the submarine went to sea for the first time for factory sea trials.
The "Arkhangelsk" submarine was erected from the slipway of Severodvinsk's "Sevmash" on November 29, 2023, for completion afloat.
The main strike weapon of Project 885M submarines is the "Onyx" and/or "Caliber-PL" cruise missiles.
