The main feature of the 10 m long and 7 ton Granit is its intelligence. Launched in a salvo, the missiles are able to line up in a dense formation in the air, exchanging information with each other about which targets each of them is attacking.
The onboard computers of the Granits contain electronic "blueprints" and data about modern ships, information about possible tactical formations of groups of ships, so they are able to identify the most valuable targets and attack them. Thanks to the low altitude and high speed of flight, it is very difficult to intercept ammunition.
